Thoughts on a Casual Friday

I just started full time work- again. There are many changes that I quite welcome, some quite – well, let us just say they come with the territory. I am pretty happy where I am, though of course, I got used to the easy life of being a college student practically forever. I just live my days and well – just jiggy with it.

But, things do change and somehow I do have to grow up even just a little bit. I have certain things that I like about it. First, the clothes are fabulous. I have the perfect excuse to go shoe, bag and clothes shopping. I have a great model – I am thinking Anne Hathaway in Devil Wears Prada meets Sex in the City kind of scheme. Then, I get a spanking new cellphone (SMART) to all those who want to know so I completed my trio of networks now.(SMART, Sun and Globe). I MAY get a new computer or laptop soon. Plus, its a step towards getting to Nihon. ( I have dreamed of returning many days now)

Ah, and work is not so bad too. Good people, fun staff, little more upbeat than the humdrum I used to imagine. It’s like the Office but not as insane. I have a gaggle of footsoldiers at my beck and call, work is satisfying. ( My first job is to update the SSS and Philhealth Manual). The cons are minimal: being tired all the time, not being able to stay up late or go out during the day (though i know that in my field work, that would come as a bonus)

Ah, maybe its not too bad growing up. Yes, I think its not too bad at all….
